Castle school was started by the Principal, Mrs Harriet Harrison, in September 2009. The aim was to establish a school with an ethos of educational success alongside individual support and guidance and with an emphasis on equipping pupils with skills for life.

At Key Stage 3, pupils study English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, IT, Art, Latin, French, Spanish and Physical Education.
At GCSE and A level a wider variety of subjects are offered including the above and Astronomy, Psychology, three Sciences, Computer Programming and four languages – French, Latin, Spanish and Welsh.
At KS3 pupils are encouraged to participate in the Adventure Service Challenge Award and at KS4, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme. All pupils have access to LAMDA Speech and Drama and Music with peripatetic teachers. Examinations in these disciplines are offered.

Castle School is located one and a half miles north of Narberth, Pembrokeshire and takes advantage of its position close to Pembrokeshire National Park, the Preseli Mountains and the coast of West Wales. At present there are 100 pupils at the school who travel from many parts of South West Wales.
Castle School Prep
From September 2016 we have extended our age range to include Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2.
Our Castle School Prep is based at our Cresselly site, which is a traditional primary school premises (formerly St Oswalds VA School). Strong links and regular contact with our Main School is a key focus for our Prep.
At Castle School Prep we are dedicated to small classes taught by passionate professionals. We have a new and refreshing approach to education which has been developed to offer pupils a multilingual education, learning in the outdoors and creative thinking skills.
Castle School Prep is located on the edge of the picturesque village of Cresselly and within reasonable travelling distance of most of the towns in Pembrokeshire. Additionally we have transport which covers the majority of the county and beyond.
