Gladiators, Eden Project & Dylan Thomas - KS3 Trip
Years 7,8 and 9 took part in a 3 day trip involving visiting the Roman Legion Museum, the Eden Project and the Dylan Thomas Boathouse.
The first stop was Caerleon and a visit to the amphitheatre, Roman Baths and Museum. This complemented many of the topics they have all studied in their Latin lessons. Once at the bunkhouse in North Devon, pupils had an evening of team building activities. An early start for all on day 2 in order to travel down to the Eden Project. The view over the biomes as they drove in set the scene for what would be a fascinating and inspiring visit, culminating in many of the pupils zip wiring over the project on the longest and fastest zip wire in England. Day 3 involved a visit to the Dylan Thomas Boathouse in Laugharne, again complementing their English Literature curriculum.
