A multi-disciplinary class where pupils aged between 7 and 16 will be taught – in age groups – a mixture of dance, drama and singing in a fun and engaging workshop-style environment.
Each session will give pupils the opportunity to explore their imagination and will offer them the chance to develop a range of skills in acting, movement and music. It’s a great way to make new friends, to build confidence and, most importantly, to have fun!
Along with our regular weekly classes, students will have opportunities to perform at local events and gain LAMDA accredited qualifications, which are the speech and drama equivalent of music grades. Like music grades, LAMDA exams culminate at Grade 8. However, Cast & Crew offers a broad performing arts education to all its pupils, and all are welcome regardless of experience or ability.
BTEC Classes – Wednesdays 6.30pm – 9pm
From 11 years old, pupils will be given the opportunity to study for a BTEC Level 2 qualification in Performing Arts.
For some this may well be the start of a career in the performing arts industry and, for others, one of many qualifications which showcase their skill set. For pupils who find academic studies a struggle, this may well become a stepping-stone into further education. Whatever the motivation, a knowledge of and skills in performing arts will always be an asset.
The combination of the performance classes and the examination classes will offer knowledge, confidence and the ability to become stronger performers alongside achieving a valuable qualification. By offering the qualifications from a younger age, pupils will have the opportunity to sit these exams before the majority of their school-based examinations.
Cast and Crew Minis – Mondays 4pm – 5.30pm
Cast and Crew Minis is for children aged between 3 and 6 years old. A chance for your little stars to shine in performance classes with singing, drama, games, fun storytelling and movement.
Each term is based on a different theme, and children learn songs, stories and movements in an exciting, fun, safe environment.
A fantastic way for your little performers to gain self-confidence, build their skills, make new friends and gain valuable speech and language awareness, as well as having tons of fun along the way!
