On Friday, all pupils wore non-school uniform and donated money to raise funds for Paul Sartori Foundation. Then, in the afternoon they watched David Attenborough’s new documentary; A life on our planet. The pupils saw the monumental scale of humanity's impact on nature. But, were also inspired to discuss, debate and create ways that they could help the environment. This half term, Year 8 have been introduced to philosophy in their RE lessons. Part of this was looking at ultimate and moral questions and to finish the half term, they had a debate. At Outdoor School, the pupils have been learning how to debate and the techniques to use to be a good debater. They certainly transferred these skills to RE! They all spoke clearly, used facts, emotive language and listened to each other’s points. Well done, year 8! ... See more

Owls have been learning about Grace Darling-the heroine from a long time ago who saved many lives at sea. They enjoyed making medals for her bravery.
