Co-educational Day School
To celebrate our forthcoming tenth anniversary, we are offering all pupils in our prep school a special 10 year anniversary bursary.
Fees with 10th anniversary bursary – £1250.00 per term
Usual fees – £2250.00 per term
Please note – Our 10 year anniversary bursary is available for every child entering our prep school between now and the end of our anniversary year (July 2019). This reduced fee rate will apply for the length of the child’s time in the prep school. No further sibling discount will be applied on top of this bursary. When moving on to our senior school, senior school rates will then be charged.
There are three terms in each academic year.
Wraparound care – School starts at 9am but we are open for children to arrive from 8am. The school day finishes in the prep at 3.15pm but children can stay for clubs, homework etc until 5pm. If supervision is required beyond 5pm this can be arranged at an
additional charge of £2.50 per child per half hour.
We endeavour to keep other costs to a minimum whilst offering a diverse and dynamic education. Inevitably there will be some additional charges – the occasional trip, pantomime ticket, KS2 residential trip etc – similar to the costs you might expect in other schools. For older KS2 pupils there may be opportunities to go on our regular ski trip – this is not compulsory and is entirely up to individual families.
Lunches and snacks – £180 per term
All prep children have healthy snacks, and water (milk in lower prep). Toast will be available for early birds arriving before 8.30am.
Part of a child’s education is to learn dining skills, try new foods and become confident in social situations (including those where eating is required). To this end we ask that all pupils join us for lunch. We operate a nut free policy and can accommodate a number of allergies, special diets etc – please ask for further details. A current weekly menu is available on request.
Transport – additional charges apply
Using contract buses and school minibuses, we offer fairly comprehensive pick up/drop offs throughout the area – please ask for details.
We have two different uniforms which the children wear depending on the day’s activities. Our traditional ‘formal’ uniform consists of jumper, shirt, tie and either trousers or shorts (boys) or pinafore, skirt or trousers (girls). There is an optional blazer. During the summer term boys may wear shorts and short sleeved shirts and girls wear a summer dress. Our ‘outdoor’ uniform consists of Castle School polo shirt and hoodie and either navy joggers or leggings (girls). We provide berets for our girls to wear in the wintertime. When registering for a place at our prep school you will be issued with a uniform list, parent handbook and any other relevant information we feel you may require.
Music and LAMDA
All prep children will have general music lessons built into the school day but we also have peripatetic music and LAMDA teachers who visit the school and offer individual lessons. These are paid for separately and by arrangement with the individual teacher. Please enquire at Reception for further information.
